| The
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource'sSpooner Fish Hatchery is
the largest of it's kind in the state. With 46 rearing ponds it has
the capacity to produce 1.5 to 2 million 1.5" to 2.0"
walleye fingerlings, 100,000 6" walleye fingerlings and 100,000
8"to 10" muskie fingerlings. More Muskie are produced in
this hatchery than any where else in the world.

Browse the Visitors Center
which has interactive learning stations that are informational and
fun for the kids; then have a picnic at The Veteran's Memorial Park
while you and your kids wet a line from the handicapped accessible
fishing pier at the Yellow River Flowage. In addition, there's a
boat launch, bathroom facilities and parking area. All this is
with-in walking distance from The
Country House Motel & RV Park |
